Javier Jacobo's HotteBodies Lifestyle System® Amino Acid Complex Amino Acids form the chief structures of proteins, and are literally the building blocks of the body. Our bodies require 22 amino acids for health and wellness. 10 of these are considered essential for human growth, development and nutrition. “Essential” means that they cannot be manufactured by the body. The remaining 12 are important for health, but our bodies can convert the 10 essential aminos into any of the other 12 if our diet is lacking any of them. For our bodies to remain “protein balanced” It is vital that the aminos be kept in balance. Proteins are also essential for our body structures. Bone is formed in a protein matrix. Other structural proteins include collagen, cartilage, elastin and keratin, which form the skin. Thousands of enzymes, all of which are proteins, facilitate every chemical reaction in the body. Proteins can also be converted into sugar or fat to be used as fuel, (but not the other way around). Adequate protein is required to maintain a good energy level, stabilize blood sugar, assist adrenal and thyroid activity, help control weight and assist bowel function. Keep in mind that ALL proteins are comprised of amino acids. When we ingest a quality protein source such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs, nuts, seeds, cheese, yogurt and certain beans, our bodies utilize digestive enzymes to break down the long amino acid ‘chains’ into simple protein ‘building blocks’. Our bodies can then restructure these ‘free-form’ amino acids into whatever it requires at the time. This utilization process requires that adequate amounts of essential minerals and B vitamins are present. From our bone mass and brain cells to our DNA and cell wall structures, we humans are literally made out of these basic, free-form amino acids! Suggested Use: Caution: If you are pregnant or nursing consult your health care practitioner before taking this or any dietary supplement. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place.
